On Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, the Next Great Americans Bus Tour rolled into Boaz to put on an electrifying performance for 185 fifth graders at Boaz Intermediate School. Students wore crowns and cheered as Lady Liberty took the stage to introduce them to entertain and introduce them to the 10-week Super Citizen Program they will begin thanks to local sponsors Ala Trade Foods & Job Source. The program helps educators teach civics, character, financial literacy, careers & our Great American Story in the ever-shrinking sliver of time they have in the classroom for these crucial subjects. House district 27 candidate Will Ainsworth, visited his hometown school to let them know that he believes in them. He took the stage with LLF founder Patti Yancey as they both got the 5th graders excited about what they can do in their own communities and beyond to become active, involved citizens. Ainsworth encouraged them to find their passion and know that, because they live in America, they can use that passion and do anything they want.
