Liberty Learning Foundation kicked-off their Super Citizen program at Evans Elementary School today in Albertville, Alabama.  The gymnasium was filled with students this morning awaiting the start of a very exciting event, an event that would educate, challenge and encourage them to step out of their little world to make a very big difference.

The Super Citizen program and Liberty Learning civic education program lasts 10 weeks and fits into educators’ already busy school day. The children learn about their country and its history, their rights and freedoms, but most importantly what it takes to be a super citizen in their communities and country.

The students at Evans were respectful and quiet as the Statue of Liberty came to life and stepped out on stage as Libby Liberty™.  They intently listened as she told the details of her past and why she means so much to the United States of America. Libby Liberty™ wrapped up the program with the theme song, “You in the USA” song by Steven Jackson & Liberty Learning, where the students jumped to their feet and together sang about how they are the biggest part of our future.

Special thanks to AlaTrade Foods poultry processor in Alabama for sponsoring the Super Citizen Program & Next Great Americans Bus Tour events so these students realize they are a crucial part of something much bigger than their own backyards. They are the next great Americans.
