W. D. Robbins and Brazier Elementary schools had an fantastic day celebrating Civics and Government Awareness Month.  In honor of the celebration, Liberty Learning Foundation had the opportunity to introduce Libby Liberty™ and the Super Citizen Program to their schools.

More than 200 3rd-5th graders gathered, pledged allegiance to our American flag and listened to Reeivice Girtman, VP of Education with Liberty’s Legacy. Mr. Girtman captured the eyes and hearts of the students as he shared crucial information regarding their government and freedoms.

Then, as if things couldn’t get more exciting, Mr. Girtman introduced Libby Liberty™.  The children lit up as she told of her creation, her history and how they held the most important title; the title of citizen.

She challenged them, laughed with them and even took a selfie!  Representing Martha Peek, Superintendent of Mobile County Public schools was Nate Smith (Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator) and Phaedra Fox (Assistant Superintendent). Liberty Learning Foundation looks forward to kicking off the Super Citizen Program in Mobile City Schools in January as they continue the Next Great Americans Tour.
