Liberty Launch GalaOn April 12th, 2012, Liberty Learning Foundation hosted an evening of entertainment and inspiration to thank our supporters who are propelling an educational movement to teach, inspire & empower The Next Great Americans.

The Liberty Launch featured performances by country star Michael Peterson, Boston Celtics legend M.L. Carr, Lady Liberty Live and more. And emcee, John Malone, kept us all in line and on the edge of our seats.

We were humbled by the outpouring of support and energized to take the mission to the next level with the help of such passionate partners and friends.

Our Top 5 Moments from The Liberty Launch:

5. In the debut of The Next Great Americans short film we saw hope and promise in the faces of young Super Citizens our donors are impacting directly. Watch the video below.

4. Grammy Award-winning country star Michael Peterson made us laugh, made us cry … and made us remember the duty we all have to pass character & civic lessons to our next generation.·

3. Lady Liberty Live gave us a glimpse of the show she brings to school stages on The Next Great Americans Bus Tour. This time, she enlisted the on-stage help of “big kid,” & Boston Celtics Legend M.L. Carr. Carr also spoke of his experience as a player & coach to remind us that “America is a Team Effort.” It was amazing to look around the room and realize that we have an unbeatable “team” of partners, donors, volunteers and leaders who will make our mission a success.

1. We have to be honest here: Our favorite moments were the face-to-face moments we spent with every teacher, donor and volunteer who have been instrumental in making our mission possible. Your excitement filled the room. And your generosity filled the bus with Super Citizen Program Resource Kits that will be making their way to classrooms across Alabama and beyond.
