It was a historic day as Liberty Learning Foundation representatives met at Alabama Power corporate headquarters in Birmingham to receive a foundation grant from Alabama Power Foundation that will provide the Super Citizen Program and Experience for more than 7,000 elementary school students in the Alabama schools.

We were honored as Hill Carmichael, Alyson Tucker, Steve Hidebrandt, Ralph Bellamy, Michelle McAndrews, Joe Brown, Alisa Summerville, Teel Traylor, Mike Jordan, TJ Fincher, Sam Covert, Gina Byars and Houston Smith from Alabama Power were all in attendance to present the funds that are already teaching students crucial lessons in character, civics, financial literacy, career building and our Great American Story.

The Super Citizen experience (including kickoff performances from Lady Liberty and the Next Great Americans Bus Tour) is already transforming schools and communities across the state. Liberty Learning Foundation is proud to be one of the state’s nonprofits whose initiatives work in concert to impact education and the overall welfare and image of the state. Together we’re becoming a model to the rest of the country!

Thank you Alabama Power Foundation for your commitment, compassion and contribution to the future of our Next Great Americans!

LLF representatives in attendance include: Steven Jackson, Patti Yancey, Barbie Sumner, Tawanna Vickers, Cynthia Green, and Mario Jackson.
