Excitement was overflowing today as the Next Great Americans Tour bus pulled up to Attalla Elementary School. Thursday, September 24th marked the start of the Super Citizen Program for the school. Over the next 8-10 weeks, their teachers will implement lessons in civics, social studies, financial literacy, career readiness and character in their classrooms.
Libby Liberty™ kicked off today’s event and told students they already hold the most important title in the United States of America: the title of Citizen.
As part of their graduation, the students will honor a local hero that they get to choose. They will present these heroes with an Authentic Liberty Replica at the graduation event.
The students of Attalla Elementary we’re wonderful today and we’re so proud to know they will become Our Next Great Americans!
