Today, November 24th, second graders from Crossville Elementary School gathered to celebrate a special day.  Not only were these students graduating from Liberty Learning Foundation‘s Super Citizen Program, they were also honoring heroes in their community.

These heroes were honored with the help of a very special sponsor, D&F Equipment Sales, LLC.  D&F provided the Next Great Americans Bus tour and The Super Citizen Program to these 2nd graders.  They believe in the lives and education of these students and they made that known today as they took the stage to encourage and support Crossville.

This program teaches lessons in civics, character, financial literacy and social studies. It also teaches that “when you honor a hero, you become a hero!” So these students took the stage today to do just that.

A representative from each classroom spoke about how their hero deserved the special Lady Liberty torch pin and how they had impacted the lives around them.

With the lessons they have learned from Libby Liberty™, her helping hand Mr. Palmer, their excellent teachers and community leaders, these students are well on their way to becoming our Next Great Americans.
