Three elementary schools joined today in the Hartselle High School Auditorium to kick-off the Super Citizen Program.  The 10-week program centers on civics, character, financial literacy and Our Great American Story. It’s brought to life in a classroom video series by the “Hands on Liberty” cast of characters (they’re actually hand puppets on a miniature set).

Today, however, Libby Liberty™ was on hand (pun intended) to bring history to life on stage. The students of FE Burleson, Barkley Bridge and Crestline Elementary schools are the future Super Citizens of America and in the weeks ahead they will learn the lessons that will ensure their success. Libby Liberty™ did an interactive program for the students that told the history of the Statue of Liberty and exactly she represents the foundation of our country.  She is the spokesperson for the Liberty Learning Foundation, and the kids will spend the next weeks celebrating and learning about their freedoms.  They will end the program with a celebration to honor a local hero of their choosing.  Liberty Learning Foundation and Libby Liberty™ look forward to seeing what these special students of Hartselle can do with their super citizenship
