Pat Forester is joined by her family onstage at Haleyville Middle School. Today, the 5th graders at Haleyville are graduating from the Super Citizen Program, which teaches civics, financial literacy, character, and career readiness.
Thanks to Alabama Power, teachers were provided this resource free of cost! During the Graduation Celebration students will receive graduation certificates, recite the Super Pledge…But most importantly, the 5th graders will honor real-life American heroes onstage. Over the past few weeks, the students in their classrooms formed together as Torch Teams and looked to their community for outstanding Super Citizens. The students then raised funds to purchase a Lady Liberty replica to present to those heroes onstage. Because when you honor a hero you become a hero.
