Four hundred and twenty four students packed the Hazel Green elementary Gymnasium on Wed. Oct. 1, 2014. That’s a lot of American Spirit in one room. Those students, teachers, and local VIPs wore red, white & blue, waved American flags and donned Statue of Liberty Crowns as they welcomed Lady Liberty to the stage! Today’s performance was part of the Next Great Americans Bus Tour and Super Citizen Program Kickoff for 3rd graders at the school and it was made possible by the Madison County Commission & Jane K. Lowe Foundation.

The Super Citizen Program helps educators teach an exciting and memorable infusion of civics, character, social studies & financial literacy in the small sliver of time they have in their day after teach-to-test subjects. It’s a program that’s flourishing across the state thanks to passionate sponsors, tireless teachers and Liberty Learning Foundation’s committment to these crucial subjects and our youth.

With the help of communities across the state, we are succeeding in our mission to teach, inspire & empower Our Next Great Americans. Thank you to everyone who came out to show your support! Can you help us continue this all-American movement?
