On Sept. 12, 2014, Hartselle Intermediate School 5th graders were treated ton an exciting kickoff performance from Lady Liberty herself! Liberty Learning Foundation & Regions Bank teamed up to bring the Super Citizen Program and performance to the school this year. The Program helps teachers teach civics, character, ethics, financial literacy, careers and our Great American Story – in the shrinking time they have for those crucial subjects in the classroom. Today’s kickoff was just a reminder that these lessons are so important, inspiring & empowering for our next generation. And it was proof of the impact we can have when we teach those lessons in engaging, exciting ways! Special thanks to State Rep. Ed Henry, Asst. Principal Debra Harvell, Principal Gaylon Parker, Asst. Superintendent Dr. Nancy Horton and Superintendent Dr. Vic Wilson for being on hand to show support for students & community!
