The Liberty Learning Foundation had an exciting day today at the DeKalb County Schools Coliseum with hundreds of students across the county.  The morning kick-off of the Hands on Learning and Super Citizen program was a huge success and the afternoon was even greater.  The civic center was filled to the brim with cheering students in patriotic colors and the program was explained to them by the Statue of Liberty herself.  Libby Liberty™ steps down from her pedestal to visit the future super citizens of America.

The students learn about their freedoms and opportunities that the Statue of Liberty stands for and that America offers to them.  The Super Citizen Programs help educators teach civics, character, financial literacy and Our Great American Story in the already jam-packed work days. The students were energetic and they rattled the walls when they sang “You in the USA”.  There is no doubt we will see greatness out of these students over the next weeks as they become our next great Americans.
