(Huntsville, AL) On Oct. 2, 2014, 150 students packed the Morris Elementary School lunch room and cheered as Lady Liberty arrived on the Next Great Americnas Tour Bus and took the stage. These 4th & 5th graders watched as Lady Liberty brought history to life and introduced the 5th graders to the Super Citizen Program they will be participating in for the next 10 weeks.

The Kickoff, the Super Citizen Program and a Graduation Celebration are all part of Liberty Learning Foundation’s methodology that allows teaching of crucial subjects that are often neglected in schools. This energetic, unforgettable infusion of civics, character, financial literacy, careers and social studies helps teacher round out the equation in the small sliver of time they have in the day to teach these subjects.

The program and events were made possible local sponsors, Wells Fargo & Lockheed Martin. “We are so excited to be a part of this program … I really want to challenge you to remember everything that you learn over the next several weeks – because it’s not only going to help ensure that you become a great citizen and build strong character, it’s also going to help ensure that you’re set up for success as you grow up into adults as well,” said Stephen Norris of Wells Fargo.

Without generous corporate citizens, individuals and grants we would not be able to provide these programs to students across the state. Please help us sustain this historic, all-American mission that’s teaching, inspiring & empowering our Next Great Americans.
