Our Liberty Learning Foundation team has been very busy this past week. We celebrated the 125th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty’s dedication in New York City! We have actually visited three schools since I last shared with you about our adventures. So, here’s a little something to catch you up on our tour news!
First, we visited Morganton Road Elementary in Fayetteville, NC on Tuesday, October 25! We are always excited to visit a school where the students are already familiar with our tour anthem, and ready to get singing!
Fourth grade teacher, Ms. Nicole Janson said that her favorite thing about the Super Citizen program is that it already includes “everything!” By “everything”, she means that all of the lessons, guides, tools and resources are included with the kit. Teachers do not have to go searching for extra supplements to enrich the lessons. Everything is right at their fingertips! You have to remember, this program was designed by professional teachers who understand what is needed in the classroom for an unforgettable lesson!
We were also excited to find out that there are many military families represented at Morganton Road Elementary which is near Fort Bragg and Pope AFB!

On Wednesday, October 26 our tour made a stop at Banks Road Elementary in Raleigh, North Carolina!
We did two shows at Banks Road and were thrilled by the excitement shown by the students and faculty at this school! Banks Road was a huge school with 14 classes per grade! Their enthusiasm matched their size!

And finally today the Next Great Americans tour made its last stop in North Carolina at Erwin Montessori in Greensboro, NC!
Once again, the students were excited to share the fact that they already knew our song…and love it! They all knew the motions to it as well!
We spoke with Curriculum Coordinator, Ms. Heather McDonald, after the show. She said that she has already shared the Super Citizen Program with teachers at Erwin who were able to easily merge the lessons in the program with the curriculum that they were already teaching! That is one of the great things about the flexibility of these lessons. Teachers can adapt them to fit the needs of a particular class!
